Mediation is billed hourly and the two parties split the fee equally. For example, at $250 per hour, each party pays $125 per hour. If standard fees are out of reach, you can petition for a reduced, sliding-scale rate, reviewed case by case.
Mediators and staff are held to confidentiality. We encourage confidentiality among the parties but cannot guarantee it.
Mediation itself is not binding. If you reach agreement it can be written up and, once signed, made enforceable. We are not your attorneys, and we recommend your own lawyer review any agreement first.
Mediation is voluntary, so both people must agree to take part. If you are ready but the other party is unsure, we can help you invite them and explain the process with no pressure.
